On the offensive side of the ball, the Patriots have Bennett (TE, knee), Hogan (WR, thigh) and Malcolm Mitchell (WR, knee) listed on the injury report. All three are expected to play, but may be slightly limited due to their respective injuries.
On defense, the Patriots listed Nate Ebner (DB, concussion), Dont’a Hightower (LB, shoulder), Vincent Valentine (DT, back) and Branch (DT, toe). Again, these players are expected to play, although Branch may be a surprise for Patriots fans. He was added to the report Wednesday after not experiencing any issues before.
The reason? According to NFL Network, Branch had his toe stepped on at practice.
Mack is Atlanta’s Pro Bowl starting center, and has the biggest chance of not playing Sunday. Although he’s been a limited participant in practice all week, Quinn wasn’t overly confident Plain Cheap Jerseys Mack was going to be able to play in the Super Bowl.
“I’m concerned. I’m not panicked, but I’m concerned,” Quinn said Thursday, adding, “he’s feeling better than he did in the NFC Championship Game.”
As for Freeney, he didn’t practice at all Thursday, which raised some eyebrows. But Quinn said the pass-rusher took a maintenance day, and should be fine for the big game.
