Ricardo Lockette speaks with ‘angels’ who saved his life

Had it not been for the quick work of paramedics, Ricardo Lockette may have never walked again. His life could have been in jeopardy as well.

The former Seahawks receiver had a chance this week to thank the first responders who provided immediate care after Lockette was injured on Nov 1, 2015 in a game against the Cowboys.

Lockette was hit by Cowboys safety Jeff Heath while dropping in punt coverage. The blindside hit left Lockette motionless on the field at AT&T Stadium and medical personnel sprinted onto the field. Lockette was eventually strapped to a backboard and taken off the field by stretcher before being taken to a Dallas-area hospital, where he required surgery to repair ligament damage in his neck.

Goff struggled with the speed of NFL defenses last year in his seven starts. Offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur believes Goff will be much better this season.

“He’s really grasped the offense surprisingly fast, especially for a new guy,” LaFleur said of Goff. “When you get a new guy in an offense, there is a transition period with that, but he’s done a nice job at picking it up at a surprisingly quick pace.

“I think he’s done a nice job just getting better every single Cheap Jerseys Direct Coupon day. We know that anytime you’re not truly live in some of these periods, it’s always a little bit more difficult. I thought he’s done a nice job managing the huddle, got in and out today. He’s Cheap Jerseys And Hats seeing some things, progressing through based on what coverages we’re seeing.”

The Rams have a lot of young players on offense. Though Goff still doesn’t have a plethora of experience or NFL success, he would like to step up as a leader this season.
