Detroit, sitting at 4-2, is atop the NFC North along with the Chicago Bears. The Lions are off to a good start and most of their success can be attributed to an offense which can strike from all over the field, utilizing big-play athletes such as receiver Calvin Johnson and running Cheap USA Jerseys back Reggie Bush. New England Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib was ruled out for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. Talib is dealing with a strained hip flexor, sustained in the team’s Week 6 win over the New Orleans Saints. Former Houston and New Orleans head coach Bum Phillips died on Friday at the age of 90. Phillips spent 11 seasons as a head coach in the NFL, and was considered to be one of the best defensive coaches of his time. The Oilers had 10 wins in four of his six seasons as head coach in Houston. Phillips is the father of current Houston Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips. Bum will live on as a great coach in NFL’s history books and one of the most quotible personalities around the league.
