Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Leon Hall could miss the remainder of the 2013 season as it’s feared he tore his Achilles in Sunday’s win over the Detroit Lions, according to Ian Rapoport.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said after the game that he disagreed with the call, a personal Buy Cheap Jerseys foul on Jones for pushing a teammate into the offensive formation. Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reported that Belichick said that “there wasn’t a push at the second level that would require a flag.”
The Patriots forced overtime when Stephen Gostkowski kicked a 44-yard field goal with 16 seconds left in regulation, but they were unable to get anything going on the first drive in overtime. Jets head coach Rex Ryan opted to give Folk a chance to win the game on a 56-yard attempt, but with the miss it appeared that Tom Brady and New England would get great field position to start with to possibly win the game.
However, the penalty on Jones gave the Jets a second chance and they took advantage. Belichick does not seem to agree that they deserved that chance.
The St. Louis Rams were trying to gain ground in the NFC West, but that took a serious blow as they traveled to Carolina and left with a 30-15 loss. Although falling another game back hurts, losing Sam Bradford would make the season another year of roster evaluating and future planning.
Bradford often goes unmentioned in the quarterback conversation, but he has played very well in 2013 — doing exactly what the short-yardage offense asked him to. He was on pace for over 3,000 yards passing while throwing 14 touchdowns and just four Cheap NFL Jerseys interceptions.
The fear is that Bradford tore his ACL when he was pushed out of bounds in the fourth quarter. If this ends up being the diagnosis it would not only spell the end to his season, but could put his future in St. Louis in jeopardy.
