With Super Bowl 51 complete, it’s already time to look ahead to the 2017 NFL Draft, as top talent from the collegiate ranks is eager to make an impact next season.
In total, 253 players will be selected, with the Browns starting off the draft with the top overall pick — assuming they don’t trade it away. The 49ers and Jaguars have the most picks available in the draft, with 12 apiece, and the Dolphins and Texans have the fewest, with five.
The draft will take place over three days from Thursday, April 27 through Saturday, April 29. Round 1 takes place on April 27, Rounds 2-3 take place on April 28 and Rounds 4-7 take place on April 29.
Getting half of those 32 picks are the Bengals, Browns, Broncos and Chiefs, who were each awarded four compensatory picks. The NFL Draft will take place in Philadelphia from April 27-29.
Under the rules for compensatory draft selections, a team losing more or better US Cheap Jerseys compensatory free agents than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks.
The compensatory picks will be positioned within the third through seventh rounds based on the value of the compensatory free agents lost.
The Bengals lost receivers Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu, safety NFL Cheap Jerseys Nike Reggie Nelson, offensive tackle Andre Smith and linebacker Emmanuel Lamur in 2016 without signing a compensatory free agent.
